Heritage Christian School

Heritage Christian School won first place in their division in the Student Hunger Drive -- for the FIFTH year in a row!  WOOHOO!!  We collected 12,145 POUNDS of food this year for the Foodbank!!! Our students worked tirelessly in collecting cans from their neighbors, friends and church family.

The 2011 Serve-A-Thon was a big success!  Families served at many places:

The Ronald McDonald House - Iowa City
Several families drove to Iowa City to clean the RMH.  They also made a meal for the families who were staying there.

Salvation Army Family Shelter - Davenport
Several families cleaned the after school room at the shelter and painted the entry hallway and the hallway to the dining room.

DeWitt Sportsmans Club - DeWitt
Families cleaned up debris and trash at the Sportsmans Club in DeWitt.

Family Resource Center - Bettendorf
Several families cleaned up the area around the Family Resource Center building.

Park View Owners' Association - Park View
Several families and younger children packed plastic Easter eggs for the Owners' Association which hosts an Easter egg hunt every year.  They also folded Birdies for Charity flyers for that organization.

Collection for Soldiers -  Park View
Families went around Park View and collected donations for items to send to soldiers serving overseas.  The community helped tremendously!
